As we celebrate the holiday season, I want to extend my sincere thanks for your incredible support throughout the year. Your trust in Crime Stoppers has been instrumental in making Victoria safer for everyone.
This year, with your help, we have achieved remarkable milestones—with reports helping to remove drugs and weapons from our streets and recover criminal assets. Every report has made a difference.
From all of us at Crime Stoppers Victoria, we wish you a safe and happy Christmas. Together, let’s continue building a safer Victoria in the year ahead.

Did You Know?
Australians lost over $224 million to scams in just the first nine months of 2024? To help protect our community, Crime Stoppers Victoria partnered with BankVic to bring you, ‘The Anatomy of a Scam‘ — a compelling three-part podcast series uncovering the lifecycle of scams.
Listen now to learn more about The Scam, The Victim and The Arrest.
Stalking is a Crime
This year, CSV worked with Victoria Police to educate the community on the signs of Stalking and how to seek help. Stalking is not a single incident, but a pattern of repeated actions by another person over time that make you feel distressed, fearful or worried about your safety. Learn more about this complicated topic.
Your Pet, Our Pest The illegal trade of exotic pests threatens Victoria’s ecosystem and biosecurity. These animals are often stolen or bred under inhumane conditions. If smuggled into Australia without appropriate quarantine, they have the potential to carry diseases like rabies that can spread to local wildlife, pets, and even humans. You can learn more about which pets are considered illegal and how you can help.
Road Safety: See It, Share It.
In 2024, we asked people to report driving behaviours that put others at risk. This includes speeding, running red lights, tailgating, weaving in and out of traffic, or driving while distracted (like texting). Head to the website to see some examples of dangerous driving and learn how to help keep our roads safe for everyone.
Our team has been busy connecting with the community at events across Victoria. You might have seen us at events such as the Geelong Show and Whittlesea Show.
At every event, the Crime Stoppers team shared valuable safety tips, distributed helpful resources, and engaged with the community to answer questions about crime prevention and safety. We’d love to see you at an event next year! Follow us on Instagram @crimestoppers.vic to stay up to date on upcoming events.
Each week, Crime Stoppers Victoria continues to bring you articles on important safety and crime topics. Recently, we have shared impactful stories about the psychological motivations behind stalking, online safety, road safety and even the origins of Crime Stoppers in Australia.
Stay informed—visit the Crime Stoppers Victoria website for the latest articles, interviews, and practical safety tips.
There is a lot to look forward to next year with many exciting projects already in the works. In 2025 we will continue to deliver innovative crime prevention and educational resources. To stay in the loop, follow @crimestoppers.vic on socials for new content daily.
As we round out 2024, we want to thank you for your continued support in helping to keep Victoria a safer place for all.
Merry Christmas!
