The last financial year saw Victorians share record levels of information with Crime Stoppers about unsolved crimes and suspicious activity. In 2021/2022 Crime Stoppers Victoria recorded 106,413 tips, resulting in:
- 733 arrests
- 1,485 Charges
- $34,956,983 in drugs, property and cash seized

On Wednesday 25 May, Crime Stoppers Victoria held its Stakeholder event at Parliament House hosted by Minister Natalie Hutchins. This was an opportunity to thank our partners across police, government, media and the wider community.
A highlight of the evening was the award presentation. The S.I. Mick Miller award was presented to Detective Superintendent Peter Brigham for his contribution to the National Illegal Firearms Campaign. The Mersina Halvagis award was presented to Herald Sun crime reporter Brianna Travers. The awards were great recognition of the efforts of both recipients, who have gone above and beyond to help Crime Stoppers.
Shut Out Farm Crime
Following the success of Putting a Spotlight on Farm Crime last year, Crime Stoppers Victoria and Victoria Police launched Shut Out Farm Crime in March. We spoke with over 50,000 people during this campaign to raise awareness of rural crimes and tackle the increase in the theft of livestock and fuel from Victorian farms.
To help Victorian farmers enhance their security measures, free resources have been developed and shared at agricultural events. Read more
Night Safety Campaign with the City of Melbourne
Project Night Justice is a two-year partnership between the City of Melbourne, Victoria Police, Crime Stoppers Victoria, Full Stop Australia and the University of Melbourne. The campaign seeks to improve safety for women and gender-diverse people in the city at night through awareness, training and encouraging reporting of sexual harassment and assault.
Project Night Justice highlights ways you can help victims safely, call out unacceptable behaviour or ask someone in authority to help manage the situation

Copper Cable theft with Powercor
Crime Stoppers has teamed up with Powercor to put a stop to copper cable theft. With the significant rise in the price of copper, theft of copper cable has become a serious issue. This dangerous and illegal activity endangers lives, impacts traffic signals and streetlights, and can even cause power outages to homes and businesses. Crime Stoppers in partnership with Powercor will continue to fight copper cable theft in the year ahead. Read more
Crime Stoppers Victoria & BankVic Online Safety Series 2022
Did you know Aussies have already lost over $220 million to investment scams this year?
This shocking statistic highlights why it is vital the community knows how to protect themselves and their loved ones from cybercriminals. To help educate the public about the many different scams being perpetrated, Crime Stoppers Victoria has joined forces with BankVic for the second consecutive year to continue our Online Safety Series in 2022. The Community Engagement team at Crime Stoppers has been extremely busy travelling across Victoria, chatting to locals and encouraging communities to get vocal about local safety.
Among the many events the staff attended, the Alexandra Truck, Ute and Rod Show was a standout. It was wonderful to support such a strong regional community event. With over 10,000 members of the public attending, and a strong presence from Victorian emergency service providers.
