ASSAULT – BETWEEN WERRIBEE AND WILLIAMS LANDING RAILWAY STATIONS – WEDNESDAY, 3 APRIL 2019

Police are seeking to identify a woman after an alleged assault on Wednesday, 3 April 2019.

At around 3.34pm on a train travelling from Werribee Railway Station towards the city, a woman is alleged to have verbally abused the victim.

The woman subsequently spat on the victim where a scuffle has ensued.

During the incident, the woman is alleged to have produced a hammer and struck the victim on the head.

The woman exited the train at Williams Landing Railway Station.

Police have released CCTV images of a woman whom they believe may be able to assist in their inquiries.

The woman is perceived to be of Pacific Islander or Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander appearance, approximately 30 to 40-years-old, with a thin to medium build and dark hair.

She was wearing a dark coloured Puma hoodie, grey / blue coloured three quarter pants, Nike runners and a grey coloured backpack.
