Kensington Skateboard Jam

Join us at Kensington Skatepark: Holland Park, Cnr Kensington Road and Childers Street, Kensington, Vic 3031.

Featuring competitions for young people aged 12-24, skills workshops, youth employment support and advice, free snacks, giveaways, and prizes!

Presented by Crime Stoppers Victoria, Victorian Skateboarding Association, and the YMCA.

We can supply skateboards and safety pads for you – if you do not have them.

Are you 12-24 years old? Do you want to learn to skate? Or are you keen to advance your skills? These free skateboarding jams are for any level of skaters – beginner, intermediate, and advanced! Jams will feature lessons, demonstrations and competitions, plus free snacks, giveaways and prizes!

These skate sessions will run for anyone aged between 12 and 24 across the Hume, Wyndham, Brimbank, and Geelong councils in 2023 and early 2024.

In addition to learning a new skill, every program participant will be offered the chance to meet with local youth employment and transition-to-work services to discuss their future and employment pathway opportunities.
